OUR METHODOLOGY
OUR METHODOLOGY
KIKOP utilizes a community-based, impact-oriented (CBIO) methodology to address the most critical health issues in partner communities. Family health data is collected through routine home visitation, the review of health records, surveys and group meetings. In this way, our work can be modified to meet the evolving needs of the community.
Our Community Health Volunteers (CHVs) play a critical role in the implementation of primary healthcare, mobilizing communities in taking care of their health and providing basic healthcare at the community level. Our CHVs are trained in disease prevention, health promotion and simple curative care to help and leads their communities to improve their health and wellbeing. Our CHVs conduct regular home visits to households containing pregnant women and mothers of children under the age of 2 in their community.
